When's the last time someone told you what's actually going on in your community?

I'm Shane Hubble, and over the past several years I've spent much of my time throughout Genesee, Oakland, Livingston, Washtenaw, Lapeer, and Macomb counties helping families buy and sell homes. Along the way, I've spent countless hours exploring local neighborhoods, building relationships with residents and business owners, and staying connected to what's happening throughout our communities. Those connections often give me an early look at new businesses, local developments, community projects, and the changes that impact the places we call home.

What I've noticed is that people genuinely want to know what's happening in their area. They want to know about the new restaurant opening down the road, the upcoming local events, the hidden gems they haven't discovered yet, and what's happening in the real estate market that affects their home value. The problem is that information is often scattered across dozens of websites, social media pages, and community groups, making it hard to stay informed. That's why I created Local Hub.

My goal is simple: to give East Michigan residents one place to stay connected to their community. Whether you're a lifelong resident, new to the area, thinking about moving here, or just looking for something fun to do this weekend, I want this to be a resource you can count on. A place you can check each morning to see what's happening in your community, discover local businesses, learn about upcoming events, and stay informed about the things that matter most where you live.
